Literature Text
My darling angel,
How did I lose you?
The last second I saw you
Was when the leaves were dancing,
Twirling on their branches
And circling their way through air
As they fell down between us
Yet, you were there
Looking at me with those eyes,
As your long, pale brown hair
Drowned behind you
Then the rain that poured,
Drenching the dirt into deep mud
Causing you to run off
How could you ever protect me,
If you weren't around to do so?
Off, you had ran,
I watched as the wisp of your
Beautiful, pearl white dress
Swung around the tip of the corner
As you escaped
Perhaps it was the storm that raged
As I went about, searching for you,
Yearning for protection from fear
That threatened to end it there -
My darling angel,
How did I lose you?
Oh, darling angel,
You lost me.
How did I lose you?
The last second I saw you
Was when the leaves were dancing,
Twirling on their branches
And circling their way through air
As they fell down between us
Yet, you were there
Looking at me with those eyes,
As your long, pale brown hair
Drowned behind you
Then the rain that poured,
Drenching the dirt into deep mud
Causing you to run off
How could you ever protect me,
If you weren't around to do so?
Off, you had ran,
I watched as the wisp of your
Beautiful, pearl white dress
Swung around the tip of the corner
As you escaped
Perhaps it was the storm that raged
As I went about, searching for you,
Yearning for protection from fear
That threatened to end it there -
My darling angel,
How did I lose you?
Oh, darling angel,
You lost me.

Salvation
Salvation
Liquid Fire:
Sorrow melts and reforms
As heat seeps from my skin
Frozen Water:
Reflections of my memories are reborn
As frost settles on me once again
-
The liquidsparks flickered:
And I winced at that one image
A voice suddenly stutters
“I grasped forgiveness after the carnage.”
Restless echoes linger on
Retelling me stories of yesterday
Reminding me of when my courage was withdrawn
And the countless times I accepted those acts of hate
My scars shimmer every dawn
Each one has a wordless tale of mistakes
My eyes recorded the wrongs
As I relive the history I can't escape
Snowflakes descended gracefully:
As a cold-b
Literature
Take It All Away.
There’s a tear between each smile and a fracture on my heart
And a thousand feelings breaking me and tearing me apart
Knowing when it’s over I may lose my sanity
Embrace the mess I am and the storm inside of me
In the dark I have a chance to fight away my problems
To ignore them all away instead of trying to solve them
All I saw when I looked back was a mass of insecurity
Laying waste to who I am and ripping at the seam
Lowering my already non-existent self-esteem
And I couldn’t help admitting I’m a self-made failure
Walking a broken path as a second-hand savior
And it all adds up to nothing; me in a nutshell

Hope never dies
Hopes beat fast as we look
Onward past the hurt and pain
Pieces of this harsh life stay behind
Efforts to make it better are always worth it
Now we are living in the present
Enjoying life when we can
Venturing forward
Entering a new stage in life
Restarting and leaving the past behind
Death we'll never fear
It's just another adventure
Endless days in this life but
Somehow we'll find a way.

Inspired by the storm that came through this morning. That doesn't happen around here often, having any rain in the morning - let alone a storm. But storms are only scary when it's dark outside - they're the most beautiful things in the morning. That beautiful moment watching the leaves dance in the wind was ruined when somebody sneezed - but that made me think of the angel myth that coincides with replying "bless you". So, this idea has been circulating my head all day.
