dear sarah, yesterday I tried to swallow the sun. it burned me up on the inside until even my skin was hot to the touch, and I thought of you. * the detail is bad, and someday I'l redraw this in pencil, but the pupil says "medio" in vines the left, dark side says "muerto" in tree branches, and the right, bright side says "vida" in the leaves of trees, meaning "half dead, half alive" from Spanish - this was my project for a surreal assignment in art last year where we had to incorporate an eye of this size, thus why the detail is so bad *
